The Avenel facility, with more than 50,000 square feet of design, manufacturing and test space employs nearly 200 people, producing all Avionic Instruments power conversion, control and distribution products. The co-location of our manufacturing facility with all other key functional groups such as engineering, quality, sales and marketing, ensures maximum communication flow allowing rapid responsiveness to our customers. Our principal manufacturing processes include:

• Fully automated circuit board assembly

• Magnetics assembly

• Subassembly manufacturing

• Final assembly

• Rigorous test and certification

Test and inspection are a part of every manufacturing operation. Computer-controlled automated test equipment (ATE) is used to perform subassembly and final acceptance testing on all manufactured products. Environmental stress screening (ESS) is performed on our products to ensure optimal field performance and reliability. Application-specific ESS test profiles, including combined vibration and temperature screening, are customized to meet any application-specific requirements.

Acme Aerospace Inc. covers 40,000 square feet and employs 80 people. The Tempe facility is the only electronics and battery company with fully integrated engineering, production, sales, marketing and customer service within one single facility. Acme specializes in manufacturing high-quality, high-reliability, non-stop power solutions. Our complete manufacturing cycle consists of:

• Plating

• Electrode development (pasting)

• Cell build

• Formation

• Final battery assembly and test

This facility has defined inspection processes throughout its manufacturing operation, from materials receiving through finished product acceptance. All complete products undergo 100% acceptance testing and inspection prior to shipping.
