The Operations Manager primary responsibilities is to lead operations through development, execution, and continuous improvement of lean strategies. Primary metrics are People, Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery. The Operations Manager oversees manufacturing (and shipping) to make sure quality items are produced and shipped on time to customers due dates.
The primary objective of this position is to improve and sustain the aircraft battery manufacturing and related support processes at Acme Aerospace. The Manufacturing Engineer will work alongside production associates, maintenance technicians, engineers and the production manager to drive and support continuous improvement projects, cycle time calculations, and developing/implementing future state actions. The person in this role will wear multiple hats within the manufacturing engineering realm included but not limited to industrial, process, quality, tooling and lean manufacturing.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the procurement of all raw material, equipment and consumable supplies from vendors. Moreover, they are responsible for RFQs, negotiating material costs, delivery dates and expedite fees. The candidate must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
This position is accountable for the coordination and execution of all production activities, including battery and electronics manufacturing and resulting daily output. They will provide leadership and guidance to all production employees to drive continuous improvement, ensure operating compliance and personal accountability. They will effectively and proactively communicate risks and resources needed to upper management.
